Where has the first half of the year gone?

here's an update...

It’s been a while, I know!

Hello adventurers! 🌎

Wow, it’s been a while since I appeared in your inbox, but it’s been a busy busy first half of the year.

I’m back on the newsletter buzz because I’ve set up an accountability group with my friends, so expect me to be appearing in your inbox weekly! 🫡

I just spent 10 days in Bansko, Bulgaria (a digital nomad hotspot) and I have just got back to Ireland for the month of August.

I can’t wait for some new adventures and to create new content for you on Instagram.

I’ve had very little time in Ireland and even less time to explore this year, so I’ve been digging through the archives to share some of my favourite content of our beautiful island.

Bansko, Bulgaria

A little bit about Bansko

Bansko is a small mountain town in Bulgaria, popular with skiers in the winter.

It’s about 2-3 hours from the capital Sofia, and it is where the largest digital nomad conference, Bansko Nomad Fest, takes place.

It was on at the beginning of July this year, and I went back after two weeks in Ireland to see my friends who had stayed for over a month.

There are lots of coworking spaces (around 10 I think, which is crazy for such a small town), the food is really affordable, it’s surrounded by mountains - perfect for cold dips in the river, hiking, mountain biking, and there are lots of coliving spaces too.

It has a great community and if you work remote, I would HIGHLY recommend visiting in the summer or in the winter (to ski).

Looking for a fun getaway from Ireland?

I recently travelled to Scotland with P&O Ferries and it was such a lovely experience! I drove to Larne (near Belfast) and sailed over to Cairnryan where I spent two nights. I drove around the peninsula, went to the beach, saw some seals, met some cool van friends and saw a beautiful sunset at Mull of Galloway Lighthouse.

I shared my travel experience here and I’ll soon be sharing an itinerary for that area on my Insta too.

Travel / life tip

I have been a Revolut Premium member for a few years now. It’s only €90 per year and you get cool benefits like free Nord VPN, a free sleep tracking app (Sleep Cycle) subscription, a free Headspace subscription and a few other free bits, PLUS 2.5% interest on your savings, €400 ATM withdrawal limit for foreign currencies, travel insurance AND best of all…

Purchase protection.

This is something I randomly remembered I had when I was buying my iPhone in Thailand, so I bought it on Revolut.

I recently broke my screen and an iPhone 15 screen is almost €500. 😥

I got all of that covered by Revolut purchase protection (minus €50 excess) just because I purchased my phone using Revolut.

How great is that?!

I’d recommend reading about the different Revolut plans and investing in an upgrade if you think the benefits will be useful to you… there’s a lot more than I’ve listed above, but I’m an absolute FAN girl of Revolut haha. (I wish they sponsored me saying this)

I do however have a ‘refer a friend’ link (and so will you once you sign up), so if you haven’t got Revolut… I would find it hard to believe, but if you really don’t have it, sign up below.
