September round up

and life updates šŸŒŽ

Hello adventurer! šŸ‘‹

Happy Wednesday and I hope you’re having a lovely week so far!

It’s week 10 of my accountability challenge with my friends (we’re all sending one newsletter a week until we are all in Chiang Mai - I’m here now hehe).

The best thing about being back? Coffee.

I love variety, but I also love this one particular coffee shop that I’ve gone to every single day since I’ve been back.

If you’d like to fuel my caffeine addiction, you can buy me a coffee here ā˜•ļø

I need my friends back so they can encourage me to explore new coffee shops hehe!

Help me decide the next group trip destination

Nepal is coming, but there will be another group trip.

Nepal will be from 16-27 April and if you’re interested in joining, pop in your email here to be the first to know when it launches.

I asked in a poll on my Instagram where else you would like to travel next with me?

The choices are… Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Phillippines

Where do you want to go? Reply to this email and let me know.

Let’s recap on September

Honestly, it’s been a weird, crazy, busy month.

Being an entrepreneur is so f*cking exhausting.

But more on that later…

So what happened in September?

  • I went on a group trip to Turkey to create content and got paid for it - this was a pretty cool moment of my content creation career (here are a few snaps that I took for myself)

  • I worked with Trinity College on a marketing campaign for the third time this year - this was also pretty cool

  • I had a busy time with work with 5-6 content days, lots of client work and I was definitely kept BUSY

  • I moved back to Chiang Mai (for a few months) on the 21st and have been here since, suffering slowly from jetlag. I’ve never had sleep issues, so this is difficult

  • I’ve met some new people at a dinner meetup, and I’ve been playing board games with some people at a cool new space that a friend has opened here in Chiang Mai - it’s a very cool concept. Basically, it has a few floors and there’s a cafe, board games, VR, recording room, karaoke room, coworking space and a rooftop where a DJ played a few nights ago

  • I’ve also been building my website to share all the info about the group trips on

  • I’ve also been struggling a little, it’s not all rainbows over here - obviously completely changing my lifestyle from spending over a month in Ireland to going back to Asia is a big shift and I don’t know too many people in Chiang Mai yet, so it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster

On being an entrepreneur

There are so many great things about having your own business.

SO many.

Location and time freedom.

Everyone says having a business gives you freedom, but I feel like I’m switched on 24/7.

Some weeks can be particularly hard and it’s so difficult to balance workload with income.

It’s hard to say no to work.

Then, you’re earning lots and making lots of money.

But the reality is that a client could decide to discontinue your services at any time.

For me, this is one of the hardest parts. The constant uncertainty.

It’s obviously a huge mindset thing, but it takes time to be OK with your income and workload fluctuating.

I’ve had a hard week, so I guess that’s why I’m sharing the realities of business.

It is great. I couldn’t imagine working for anyone now.

But… there are challenges with every lifestyle.

That’s it I guess. I don’t know how to finish this paragraph haha!
